How can Florida cities and towns help create good jobs for your community, and improve wages and benefits as well?
Who are our potential local allies in the labor movement?
What’s the difference between minimum wage, living wage, and prevailing wage, and how are all three relevant to your city or town? What’s a project labor agreement? What are ‘fair scheduling’ rules?
Would you like to benefit from a free training from insider experts on issues like these, the labor movement today, and how they can help to strengthen your community’s budget and economy?
Then it’s time for you to register for DMO’s Florida Labor Training workshop scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2017, in Tampa.
Mark Saturday, Feburary 18 on your calendar, and plan your travel to arrive in time for our noon start. Lunch will be provided as part of our in-depth training seminar from noon to 4 p.m.
There is no charge for DMO members. DMO membership is open to all municipal elected officials registered as Democrats, even if you hold an office that is elected on a non-partisan basis.
Register to attend below. Let us know if you will need overnight stay arrangements on Saturday. We anticipate having a limited number of scholarships available for attendees to assist with travel and lodging expenses. Please let us know if that will facilitate your participation. We will respond to all registrations with directions and other details.
